KCBY New Member Camp

KCBY New Member Camp is the official kickoff to the school year for all new members of Coppell High School's KCBY Broadcast program. Throughout the week, students will get to know their fellow staff members, learn the fundamentals of broadcast journalism and video production, become familiar with KCBY equipment and workflows, and begin developing the skills they'll use throughout the year.

Camp activities include hands-on training, team-building exercises, production workshops, and an introduction to the expectations and responsibilities of being a member of the KCBY staff. Students will also have the opportunity to build friendships, develop confidence, and become part of the collaborative culture that makes KCBY successful.

Attendance is expected for all new members, as the camp provides the foundation for a successful year in the program. The week concludes with a fun student social to celebrate the start of an exciting year with KCBY.
